Wyndham Vale Armed Robbery

The Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit is asking for help from the public regarding a pair of attempted robberies that took place in Wyndham Vale.

Last Thursday morning, a man approached a female employee at a kiosk on Armstrong Road, demanding cash and menacing her.

After the woman refused, the man proceeded to a nearby fastfood restaurant on Ballan Road and grabbed another staff member who was cleaning the store.

He brandished a knife, forced the employee to the front counter, and made the other staff members hand over cash. Luckily, no one was injured in either incident.

The suspect is thought to be Caucasian, about 165 centimetres tall with a medium to large build. He was wearing a faded blue hooded top, black pants, and black shoes.

The authorities have released an image and CCTV footage of the man they think may have info about the case. Anyone with more information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit crimestoppersvic.com.au.
