The Point Cook Community has been asking for a dedicated Police Station for a number of years, and now with the purchase of land they are one step closer.
The 12,350m2 site which cost $4.5 million is at 85 Point Cook Homestead Road and with Wyndham being one of the fastest growing areas in the country the purchase is a significant step on the road to meeting community needs.
A planning permit was originally lodged in 2017 for the land to be used and developed for a primary school with an estimated cost of $6.9 million.
Point Cook is currently serviced by a 24-hour police station in Werribee and by a restricted hours station in Wyndham North.
