Wyndham City is organizing its biennial Youth Survey to ensure that programs and services for young people cater to their interests and needs effectively.
Individuals aged 12-25 are encouraged to express their thoughts and opinions on various topics such as safety, interests, and mental health, among others. These responses will provide insights into the demographics, challenges, and expectations of young people in Wyndham.
To incentivize participation, survey takers have the chance to win a brand-new PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition Console with 2 controllers.
The survey is in line with the Council Plan 2021-2025 and the Wyndham 2040 Vision.
Mayor of Wyndham City, Cr Jennie Barrera, emphasized the council’s commitment to ensuring that all young people have opportunities to engage in the city’s social, economic, and cultural life. She highlighted the range of programs and activities offered, including holiday activities, battle of the bands, and skill development opportunities.
With the city’s population rapidly growing and a significant proportion under the age of thirty-five, the council is actively collaborating with young people, schools, and local service providers to realize its vision for youth.
The vision aims to recognize young people as essential contributors to community life and provide them with the necessary support to realize their full potential as individuals and active members of the Wyndham community.
For more information, drop-in sessions will be conducted at Eagle Stadium on Saturday, March 2nd, from 1-4PM, and at AquaPulse on Wednesday, April 3rd, from 2-5PM.
