Construction has safely resumed at Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing after a 2-week industry-wide shutdown to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Works are continuing safely with COVIDSafe plans in place to help protect workers and the community. Strict processes are in place to check and record the vaccination status of workers entering construction sites.
Additional measures making worksites even safer include new physical distancing markers, better ventilation in site sheds and the presence of COVID-19 safety marshals.
UPCOMING DISRUPTIONS: In October, works will continue on the new road bridge, preparing surrounding roads and fitting out the new pedestrian and cyclist overpass.
Work near the Old Geelong Road and Princes Highway intersection will begin as the southern plaza between Hoppers Crossing Station and Princes Highway takes shape.
There will be temporary changes to the way you move around the area during these works.
CHANGES TO THE WAY YOU TRAVEL: The construction plan is now being resequenced to determine new end dates for some of the current and planned disruptions.
