Wyndham City Completes Comprehensive Reconstruction with Traffic Lights, Sealed Shoulders, and Infrastructure Improvements

The completion of a $5.7 million enhancement to the intersection at Davis and Dohertys Road in Tarneit marks a significant milestone for the Wyndham City project. The initiative involved a comprehensive reconstruction of the intersection, incorporating the installation of traffic lights and sealed shoulders.

Additionally, the project encompassed the reconstruction of Davis Road to the south of the intersection, extending up to Twyford Way, and the reconstruction of Davis Road to the north of the intersection, extending up to Tarnala Road. Various enhancements such as public lighting, a footpath, a bicycle lane, and drainage works were also integrated into the overall upgrades.

Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Jennie Barrera, emphasized the importance of this project in fostering a safer environment for the burgeoning community in Tarneit. She acknowledged the direct correlation between community growth and increased on-road traffic, emphasizing the project’s role in mitigating traffic congestion and enhancing the safety of local roads.
