Hoppers Crossing Boy Among the Victims; Major Investigation Underway

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are currently conducting an inquiry into a tragic incident that unfolded in Grangefields overnight, involving a young boy from Hoppers Crossing. Two teenagers lost their lives in this unfortunate event, and three individuals sustained severe injuries.

According to available information, the collision transpired around 6.35 pm on Sunday, September 3, on Beattys Road. The circumstances leading to this tragic incident suggest that at least two off-road motorbikes, and possibly a quad bike, were being operated at the time.

This heart-wrenching accident resulted in injuries to five individuals. Tragically, an 18-year-old woman from Altona Meadows succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Equally distressing is the fact that a 17-year-old boy from Hoppers Crossing, critically injured, was rushed to the hospital but, sadly, couldn’t be saved.

Moreover, two younger children, a six-year-old boy and an 11-year-old boy, were also taken to the hospital with severe injuries stemming from the collision. A 43-year-old man from Altona Meadows, fortunately, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
