Police were called to a multi-vehicle collision in Werribee on Friday (1 January).
It is believed three vehicles collided at the intersection of Heaths Road and Rosella Avenue at about 9.30 am.
Investigators have been told a gold Holden commodore collided with a silver Toyota Camry and an unoccupied parked car.
The driver and two passengers of the Holden commodore were transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
These included a man in his 20’s who had a head injury and is in a serious condition, another man in his 20’s in a serious but stable condition with pelvic injuries, and the third man in his 20’s is in a stable condition with leg injuries.
Also, a 40-year-old man was taken to the Western Hospital with cuts and abrasions.
The driver remains under police guard.
The sole occupant of the silver Toyota Camry was treated by ambulance at the scene.
Police are investigating whether the Holden commodore was involved in an earlier evade in Hoppers Crossing at about 9.20 am.
The investigation remains ongoing.
