On Sunday afternoon, 9th of April, police in Wyndham Vale arrested a 22–year–old man after several cars were damaged.
Officers responded to reports of a man armed with a stick damaging cars on Carmichael Drive at around 4 pm, but the suspect had already fled the scene by the time they arrived.
Residents on Carmichael Drive were shocked to find the windows of their cars smashed after the man‘s rampage along the suburban street.
However, police eventually apprehended the man later in the evening after they were called to another incident where the same man was allegedly damaging the windows of a property belonging to someone he knew.
The Footscray man is expected to be charged with several counts of criminal damage in relation to the incidents.
