Man dies after scissor lift topples at Truganina worksite

Police will prepare a report for the coroner after a man died at a worksite on Distribution Drive, Truganina, on Wednesday, 9 September.

It is understood the 59-year-old was servicing an overhead bridge crane at the site, which supplies reinforcing steel products for residential, commercial and civil construction projects, when the crane started moving unexpectedly about 9.30am.

The scissor lift he was working from toppled as a result, and he was ejected from the basket of the lift as it fell. He died at the scene.
