Man Fatally Stabbed at Wyndham Vale Bus Stop as Police Hunt Two Killers

Aspiring model Nathaniel Mwanza, 23, fatally stabbed in Wyndham Vale—police hunt suspects.

A body lay covered at a Wyndham Vale bus stop last night as detectives launched a homicide investigation into the fatal stabbing of Nathaniel Mwanza, 23.

The Hoppers Crossing man was allegedly set upon by two offenders while onboard a public bus before the confrontation spilled onto Haines Drive around 8pm on Wednesday evening.

Moments later, he was found with fatal stab wounds.

Despite emergency medical efforts, Mr Mwanza died at the scene.

Throughout the day, family and friends visited the bus stop, leaving flowers and paying tribute. His sister, Naomi, made a plea for information, saying, “Please, if anyone saw or knows anything, please let me know!! My brother was my everything!”

Homicide Squad detectives are now hunting two alleged offenders, who were seen brawling with Mr Mwanza on the bus shortly before his death.

SES crews were spotted searching yards along nearby Butler Grove as part of the investigation.

At this stage, it is unclear whether the attack was targeted, and no weapons have been recovered. A witness who said she saw the fight begin, said the assailants were of Asian appearance.
