CFA was called to a house fire on McGrath Rd, Wyndham Vale at 12:24 on Saturday, 26 March.
Black smoke was issuing from property, with the single storey brick veneer well alight upon arrival
The fire was extremely intense, due to heavy fuel loads both inside and outside the house.
The fire spread to a neighbouring property, which sustained a small amount of damage.
Other neighbouring properties have been protected from damage.
One occupant was home at time of the fire and escaped unharmed.
There are currently 14 fire trucks on scene, along with approx. 60 firefighters, including Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV).
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and will require investigation.
A Community Warning was issued, due to significant smoke in the area.
The incident has since been declared under control.
Crews will remain on scene for some time, blacking out and maintaining safety in the area.
