Wyndham City Libraries have a range of resources and tools to help students improve their study techniques and skills.

From online tutoring service Studiosity, to student support activities like Exam Cram evenings and study resources the libraries offer a range of resources to help local students.

Exam Cram evenings are open after hours just for students on Friday nights. Students will be able to make the most of their study time at Wyndham Libraries ‘Exam Cram Study nights’, running at selected Wyndham libraries from 6pm to 9pm, on Friday nights through late May and early June.

This program offers dedicated quiet study spaces, access to a range of free online tutoring and exam resources as well as offering students snacks to keep them energised which will help support students to maximise their study time.

Wyndham City Deputy Mayor and Learning City portfolio holder Councillor Jasmine Hill said: “Exam Cram Study Nights are a great opportunity for our local senior students to take advantage of the dedicated study spaces and resources our libraries have on offer.”

“Students are encouraged to come and study in a quiet environment with like-minded students.”

“Changing your study space can re-energise students and enhance concentration.”

“Exam Cram Study Nights’ are suited to students in VCE, TAFE and University. With the upcoming VCE and Tertiary exams, it is the perfect opportunity for students to make the most of their study time.”

“Students will be able to enjoy a quiet space in their local library as they prepare for their exams and write assignments.”

Exam Cram Study Nights will run at:

  • Point Cook Library, 3 June and 10 June,
  • Hoppers Crossing Library, 27 May and 10 June
  • Manor Lakes Library, 3 June
  • Julia Gilliard Library (Tarneit), 3 June

Students can also access silent study spaces which are available during library opening hours at Point Cook library and Hoppers Crossing library.

Students have access to VCE texts, study and revision guides and can access the online tutoring service, Studiosity 24/7. Studiosity connects students with tertiary-qualified subject specialists who can assist with reviewing an essay draft or helping the student to work through a challenging problem. Access to Studiosity is available for all Wyndham students free of charge as part of their library membership.

For our younger students, the online Education eLibrary is a fantastic resource which has a range of educational games and activities to promote and improve skills in literacy and numeracy.
