The Resolve Medical Centre at Pacific Werribee Shopping Centre has announced its permanent closure commencing today 10th of February.
The popular medical centre in Hoppers Crossing, which has served the community for many years, was forced to close its doors due to upcoming car park renovations at the shopping centre.
A spokesperson at the centre stated that due to the renovations it had to close.
The renovations, which commenced on the 10th of January, will see the renovations completed in stages, as part of its project repairs program.
The closure of the medical centre has been met with a great deal of sadness by some residents. Many have expressed their disappointment at the closure, with some of the centre’s loyal patients describing the loss as a “great shame”.
The medical centre’s staff have also expressed their sadness at the closure, with some of them having worked at the centre for many years, and others just recently starting.
In a statement, the administration team said “We have all thoroughly enjoyed being there for our patients and doctors to help support you and your families over the years. We wish you all the very best in health and happiness”.
The doctors will be working locally at a new Medical Centre above Chemist Warehouse on Heaths Road.
