Fiona is a passionate advocate of social justice and raises awareness and promotes racial equality in our society.
She wants to make a difference in our community both environmentally and spiritually.
Wyndham City Mayor Cr Peter Maynard said: “Fiona has demonstrated a determination and willingness to help the community through volunteering, tutoring students and showing leadership in both school and extracurricular activities. As well as fundraising to make a difference and improve the lives of people facing challenges.”
“Wyndham City appreciates Fiona’s contribution to our community and for being a positive role model for students. She is an encouraging example of how we can all work together to achieve an inclusive and cohesive society.”
One Wyndham recipients are residents aged between 12 and 25 who positively contribute to the Wyndham community and are role models to other young people.
Each month Council selects a Wyndham resident to be awarded the ‘Young Person of the Month’.
Winners are awarded a $300 gift voucher of their choice and are featured for the month.
