Rare Air For Logan Morris

Logan Morris was Brisbane’s premiership hero, kicking three goals including the Lions’ final two as they defeated Fremantle in a Grand Final for the ages.

The former Werribee Districts junior stood up when the premiership was there to be won, helping Brisbane secure a third consecutive flag with a 14.12 (96) to 12.17 (89) victory at the MCG on 26 September.

Morris finished with 3.1 from 10 disposals, but it was his work under pressure that made his third Grand Final one to remember.

His second goal came from an under-pressure set shot about 40 metres from goal before he snapped his third, kicking Brisbane’s final two goals of the match as Fremantle continued to threaten.

It capped a remarkable third AFL season for the 21-year-old, who earned his first All-Australian selection and finished second in the Coleman Medal race, before kicking 72 goals in total.

Morris has now kicked 149 goals from 71 games since being drafted at the end of 2023, while every season of his AFL career has ended with a premiership medal.

Three seasons. Three premierships.

He impressed on Grand Final day as a first-year player in 2024 and was good again as Brisbane went back-to-back in 2025, but his third Grand Final was something else entirely.

This time, Morris was one of the men who decided it.

From playing junior football at Werribee Districts to becoming an All-Australian and three-time premiership player, Morris has packed an extraordinary amount into his first three AFL seasons.

Now he can add Grand Final hero to the list.
