Mother and Daughter Assaulted at Shopping Centre Carpark.

Police are investigating an assault in Hoppers Crossing on Friday, 1 April.

It’s believed about five people were involved in a dispute in the Pacific Werribee car park on Heaths Road at about 9.45 pm when a 20-year-old woman and her mother were assaulted.

Police arrived shortly before 10 pm to find a visibly distressed 20-year-old woman who had blood dripping from her right ear after the terrifying ordeal.

She was with her mother and a friend and was being attended to by a security guard when police arrived.

The mother stated that a male, who she believed to be of Pacific Islander appearance and in his 30s, confronted her daughter and verbally abused her and then a woman of  Caucasian appearance who was with him joined him in physically assaulting the mother and daughter.

Bystanders at the scene also attempted to assist the mother and daughter.

The offenders then allegedly attempted to run them over as they left the scene in a car that she described as a maroon Commodore sedan. Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
