Alamanda K-9 College’s expansion includes specialist facilities for modern education,
Alamanda K-9 College in Point Cook is expanding with the construction of a new building, providing additional spaces for students and reducing the need for relocatable buildings. This development is part of the college’s master plan, which aims to enhance the learning environment for local students.
The new building will feature specialist spaces dedicated to art, digital media, textiles, food technology, wood and metal work, and science. In addition to these facilities, the building will house a canteen, student toilets, and staff work areas. Outdoor terrace areas will be created, and comprehensive landscaping will be completed to complement the new structure.
This expansion will create more teaching and learning spaces, allowing local students to benefit from an environment tailored to modern educational needs. The college received significant funding in recent years, with $6.2 million allocated in the 2021–22 State Budget and an additional $5.37 million in 2023.
Upgrades and modernisation works are well underway and will be completed in 2025 . Once the construction of the new building commences, it is expected to be completed by 2028. Once finished, it will continue to support the growing number of students at Alamanda K-9 College, ensuring they have access to high-quality education in state-of-the-art facilities.
