Expansion Enhances Capacity for Unplanned Admissions and Improves Post-Surgery Patient Care
This week marks a significant milestone for St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee with the official opening of Level 2, now designated as an in-patient rehabilitation ward. The new ward is a testament to the hospital’s commitment to enhancing patient care and increasing capacity for unplanned admissions.
The state-of-the-art rehabilitation ward features 14 single rooms, each with a private ensuite, ensuring comfort and privacy for patients during their recovery. Additionally, the ward includes a gym, a functional therapy kitchen, and practical group education spaces. These facilities are designed to help patients regain their strength and confidence following surgery.
“Our aim will be the recovery of patients, and their physical and mental wellbeing to get them home safely,” said Dusica, Nurse Unit Manager. “It’s great to be able to expand services and open another floor as our activity grows and we can accommodate more patients in the local community.”
The new ward represents a collaborative effort from the dedicated team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee, who have worked tirelessly to bring this project to fruition. The expansion not only signifies growth but also a commitment to delivering better and fairer care for everyone in the community.
The entire team is to be commended for their hard work and dedication as St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee continues to evolve and enhance its services. This development ensures that the hospital remains at the forefront of patient care, providing essential services that contribute to the well-being of the wider community.
