The park also boasts amenities such as a drinking fountain, a new concrete path, seating, a dog litter bag dispenser, and bins. Wyndham City Mayor, Mia Shaw, expressed her enthusiasm about the new park, stating that it will be a valuable asset to the residents of Point Cook.
“This park has been designed with care to ensure that every dog has the freedom to run, play and socialise,” Shaw said. “At Wyndham City, we’re always striving to create better community connections and this new dog park is a shining example of that.”
Shaw added that she was pleased to see Point Cook residents and their pets enjoying the open space. The park is part of the Wyndham Dog Off-Leash Plan 2022 and Wyndham’s Open Space Strategy, both aimed at providing accessible and well-connected open spaces for families and their pets.
