Discover Walking and Cycling Paths

Wyndham City Council has launched a new online interactive map, designed to help residents discover walking and cycling paths across the city. The map, available on the Council’s website, provides detailed information about some of Wyndham’s major trails, such as the Werribee River Trail, Wyndham Bay Trail, and Lollypop Creek Bike Trail among others.

The Council plans to update the map periodically, adding more shared paths as the network expands. The initiative is part of Wyndham City’s ongoing efforts to enhance its footpath and shared path network, in line with the Active Transport Strategy. This strategy aims to facilitate easier commuting for residents whether on foot or by bike.

Wyndham City Mayor, Mia Shaw, urged residents to utilize the map. She stated, “Whether you are travelling to work or school, or just looking for a great leisure experience, Wyndham has many bike trails and walking paths for you to explore.”

Mayor Shaw went on to say, “The shared user path map is a fantastic resource that will help residents discover new routes and enjoy the many beautiful trails Wyndham has to offer.” She further highlighted the city’s commitment to improving the path network by sharing that Wyndham City, in collaboration with Melbourne Water and an adjacent landowner, recently completed a new 720-metre path. This path connects the Federation Trail with the existing Laverton Creek path to Dohertys Road, thereby enhancing the shared path network in the Truganina Employment Precinct.

The shared path user map can be accessed at www.wyndham.vic.gov.au/services/sports-parks-recreation/active-wyndham/bike-paths-and-walking-trails.
