New retail and service hubs are planned at each property, including major supermarkets. In the process of construction and after completion, the local economy is expected to be boosted by more than 500 jobs.

Located at 800 Derrimut Road in Tarneit, Oreana has acquired a 14,000 sqm site. Besides residential and commercial developments, the developer plans to develop the parcel as part of its mixed-use profile. There will be a supermarket, childcare centre, specialty retail offering, medical centre, gym, restaurants, and 23 townhouses.

An area of three hectares located on the corner of Princes Highway and Newmarket Road in Werribee is the largest of these properties. Within the recreation hub, the site would be home to a proposed ‘Town Centre’ within Development Victoria’s new Riverwalk Estate.

Along with the existing primary school, early education centre, and two parks in the growing area, it will house a major supermarket and specialty retail and services.

Oreana Group co-Founder and co-Managing Director, Tony Sass said, “The projects are intended to provide essential amenities for the growing local populations in these areas.”

“Our partnership with Development Victoria in Werribee is particularly exciting,” said Mr Sass.

“We’re looking forward to working with them and adding to the Riverwalk Park recreation precinct by delivering the new Riverwalk Town Centre.”

Penny Forrest, Development Victoria’s Group Head of Property Development, said Riverwalk residents and visitors would benefit from the new Town Centre.

“With 2,500 residents already calling Riverwalk home – this new Town Centre will benefit the whole community with a range of commercial and retail offerings,” Ms Forrest said.

“It will also attract more people to the area. The new Town Centre has been part of the Riverwalk vision for over a decade and this is an exciting milestone for the development
