It was a harsh lesson learned on Monday for an 18-year-old P-plater when his (borrowed) car was impounded.
In a zone where speeds are limited to 80 kilometres per hour, police came upon the teen driving at a speed of 167 kilometres per hour on Leakes Road, Truganina around 2.30pm.
Additionally, the P-Plate driver also failed to display his P-plates, although he only had his license for 10 days.
A cost of $1006.10 was imposed on dad’s brand-new car, and the son has been charged with speeding dangerously, as well as other traffic violations.
