Plans Revealed: Upgrade at Times Square Park in Sanctuary Lakes

Time Square park upgrade

New playground, nature play, and amenities to enhance park experience

Times Square Park in Sanctuary Lakes is undergoing an exciting upgrade to enhance the community’s recreational experience.

Wyndham City has commenced construction on the $544,000 project, which will introduce various new features. Among the additions are a state-of-the-art playground, swing set, nature play area, table tennis table, and sheltered seating.

The park will also benefit from an accessible ramped path, an expanded car park, and amenities designed to accommodate pets, such as a drink fountain with a dog bowl and a dog-bag dispenser.

The existing large open lawn space, which is popular for activities like kick-to-kick, will be retained. The project is expected to be completed by mid-2023.

Councillor Peter Maynard, Wyndham City’s Active City portfolio holder, expressed enthusiasm about the upgrade, noting that it aims to cater to the needs of Sanctuary Lakes residents.

The park’s transformation is based on valuable community feedback, and the council is eager to see the plans come to fruition.
