Point Cook Crash Victim Remembered.

Point cook crash victim

A temporary roadside memorial has been set up as a reminder of the recent tragedy that occurred on Forsyth Road in Point Cook, where 28-year-old Hayley Dienjes was killed after a car crash on the 2nd of March 2023.

The memorial consists of a cross, flowers, and a photo of Hayley with the words “Rest in Paradise. Fly High Beautiful” and is attached to a pole at the intersection where Hayley died.

The crash occurred when a car was spotted driving in an irregular manner on the Princes Freeway. Police attempted to intercept the vehicle but it accelerated away from them and subsequently crashed into a barrier on Forsyth Road.

Hayley, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was killed in the crash, while the 35-year-old Wyndham Vale male driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken under police custody.

One of Hayley’s friends said online, “I’m in shock. May she rest in peace. I’ll never ever forget the times we had in school. So sad.” And another, “Went to school with her, such a beautiful person.”

The memorial set up in Hayley’s memory is a way for her family and friends to remember her. It is a reminder of the tragedy that occurred and a way to honour her life.
