On May 1st, police in Tarneit responded to reports of an attempted theft on Nighthawk Road at approximately 11:45 pm.
Two 16-year-old males were seen attempting to break into a vehicle by the owner who managed to thwart the theft and called the police for assistance.
Upon receiving the call, police quickly arrived at the scene, with airwing assistance, to apprehend the two suspects.
One of the teens was arrested near Blackbird Street, while the other was arrested a few blocks away at Mockingbird Street.
At the scene, police gathered evidence which also appeared to include a large knife. Both teens are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
