Brookfield Man Charged with Murder
Detectives from the Homicide Squad have charged a 31-year-old Brookfield man with murder after the body of Anmol Bajwa, 36, was discovered in a Mambourin park yesterday morning.
Mr Bajwa’s body was located under a picnic table in a playground near Elementary Road around 7:30 am on 21 January, less than 200 metres from his home. Police established a major crime scene, cordoning off the area as investigations began.

The accused man, who is believed to have known the victim, has been charged with one count of murder. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up by a family friend to support Mr Bajwa’s wife and children. The fundraiser described him as “a father, a husband, and a loving son” who worked hard to create a better life in Australia.
“Anmoral was a community and family-orientated person,” the fundraiser stated.
