Witnesses described the tense atmosphere as multiple police units converged on the location. The man was apprehended and subsequently charged with a series of offences, including motor vehicle theft, burglary, aggravated reckless exposure of an emergency service worker, conduct endangering life, and possession of suspected illegal drugs.

After the arrest, detectives thoroughly searched the stolen vehicle for further evidence before it was towed from the scene. Following his capture, the man appeared visibly exhausted, and police provided him with water at the scene, using a nearby hose to refresh him. He is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
