Nunawading Highway Patrol is seeking public assistance in investigating a collision in Doncaster on Saturday involving a stolen Renault Megane and two motorcycles. The stolen vehicle, a grey Renault Megane, was reported to have mounted a roundabout and deliberately rammed into a motorcycle. The rider, a 26-year-old man from Ringwood, was knocked off his bike but was not injured. Despite the collision, the Renault continued driving northbound on Council Street with the motorcycle wedged beneath it.

The Renault subsequently struck a second motorcycle, causing its rider, a 22-year-old man also from Ringwood, to fall onto the road. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The stolen Renault was found abandoned in a reserve on J J Tully Drive in Doncaster shortly after the incident. The driver, described as a Caucasian male, approximately 180 cm tall with a medium build, was reported to have been wearing a white or grey shirt and blue jeans.

Police have released an image of the stolen Renault, hoping it will aid the ongoing investigation. They are calling for residents in Council Street and JJ Tully Drive to check their CCTV footage.

Witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, CCTV, or information about the incident, are urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
