A joint effort between Victoria Police and the Point Cook Central Sporting Club has been established to tackle the problem of anti-social behaviour from a group of youths.

This popular destination for families and sporting enthusiasts has been subject to disruption due to the group’s unruly behaviour during games and training sessions.

Liberal Member of the Western Metropolitan Region,Trung Luu has worked closely with the local authorities and the club to increase the presence of the police in the area, in the hope that it will deter any further incidents.

He voiced his satisfaction with the results of the collaboration, stating, “Our community deserves to feel safe and secure, and I am confident that the increased police presence will help to achieve this.”

The President of the Point Cook Central Sporting Club, Todd Van Bloomestien, commented on the decision, expressing his relief that action has been taken to put an end to the intimidation and unease caused to the teams while they train. He said, “These youths caused high levels of distress for parents and I am pleased that action will be taken on this.”

The increased police presence will be ongoing, providing a greater sense of security to the local residents and members of the Point Cook Central Sporting Club.
