Police in Werribee last night arrested a woman on Station Place following an incident outside a shop on Watton Street in Werribee on Saturday 15 April about 8.30pm.
Detectives are investigating after a man received a minor stab wound during the incident in which it appears the woman approached the man, who was unknown to her.
The injured 27-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. A shop owner in Werribee also told Wyndham TV that their store had been robbed at knifepoint by the woman just prior to the stabbing.
The woman was searched by police officers and detectives were seen scouring the area for any possible evidence.
The woman is currently assisting police with their enquiries. Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
