Experience the lush greenery of Alcock Road Reserve as it unveils its fully established soccer fields, ready for both soccer and cricket enthusiasts.

This newest active open space in Truganina was officially opened yesterday 10th May by Wyndham City Mayor Susan McIntyre and Victorian Minister for Community Sport, Ros Spence.

The completion of stage one works adds to the excitement, offering six tennis courts, a sporting pavilion, new cricket nets, playgrounds, BBQ and picnic areas, landscaping, and a convenient car park.

According to Councillor McIntyre, active open spaces like this are essential for community life, providing a hub for exercise, outdoor sports, socializing, and relaxation.

Wyndham City’s Active City portfolio holder, Councillor Peter Maynard, expressed enthusiasm for the new facilities, emphasizing how they cater to the sport and recreation needs of Truganina residents.

Additionally, the Western United Football Club will utilize this space as their interim training base while the Regional Football Facility is being constructed.
