Celebration For Centre's Milestone
Residents and visitors are being invited to celebrate 10 years of the Saltwater Community Centre at a free community event in Point Cook.
The Saltwater Community Centre 10th Anniversary event will be held on 16 May from 1pm to 5pm at the centre on Saltwater Promenade.
The event will feature music and dance performances from local community groups, alongside a craft market, live mural painting, interactive workshops and a range of food stalls reflecting the diversity of the Wyndham community.
Since opening in 2016, Saltwater Community Centre has become an important community hub for Point Cook residents, hosting arts and cultural activities, support programs, classes, events and social gatherings.
Over the past decade, the centre has played a major role in helping connect residents in one of Melbourne’s fastest-growing areas, providing a place for people of different backgrounds and cultures to meet, participate in activities and build local connections.
The anniversary event will bring together past and present community groups, residents and visitors to reflect on the centre’s impact over the past 10 years while celebrating the people and organisations that have helped shape the space into a key part of the local community.
The event is free and open to all ages, however bookings are required.
