
Westgate Highway Patrol officers are appealing for assistance after a hit–and–run incident in Altona Meadows last night.
It is believed that two men riding a scooter collided with a cyclist on Laverton Creek Trail near Victoria Street at around 6.30pm, before fleeing the scene on foot.
The cyclist, a 51–year–old Laverton man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Investigators have released images of items left behind at the scene, including a silver SYM scooter, a red and black helmet and a silver metal chain necklace.
