Sex worker Jenny Hayes is set to stand trial for the murders of a couple and their newborn baby in a Melbourne house fire.
The 46 year old has pleaded not guilty to murdering 19-year-old Abbey Forrest, her partner Inda Sohal, 28, and their daughter Ivy, who was just 19 days old, at Point Cook on December 2.
She also pleaded not guilty in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday to three counts of arson causing death.
Hayes is alleged to have deliberately set fire to the family’s townhouse.
Ms Forrest and Mr Sohal’s remains were found in the ashes less than three weeks after moving into the townhouse.
Hayes was remanded in custody to face Victoria’s Supreme Court for a directions hearing on May 6.
