A man aged in his 50s has been taken to hospital following a collision in Tarneit this afternoon.
It is believed a Toyota collided with a Ford Ranger at the intersection of Davis Road and Dohertys Road about 1 pm (24th January).
The driver of the Ford, a Tarneit man, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries and is reported to be in a serious but stable condition in an induced coma.
It is alleged that a northbound traveling vehicle on Davis Road has failed to give way to a vehicle on Dohertys Road. It is further alleged that there was some element of speed for the vehicle that failed to give way. (ie not slowing to give way).
The offending driver, a 27-year-old Craigieburn man was arrested and interviewed at Werribee Police for dangerous driving causing injury.
