Residents have mixed feelings about the new Kingswim Manor Lakes pool construction project at the Manor Lakes Central Shopping Centre, situated at the intersection of Manor Lakes Boulevard and Ballan Road.
The pool will be easily accessible to families in Wyndham Vale and Werribee thanks to its central location near schools, Early Learning Centres, stores, and Wyndham Vale Train Station.
It is expected to open in early–to–mid 2023 and will primarily be used for swimming lessons, but will also be a great asset for the neighbourhood.
Many locals are supportive of the project and welcome the convenience of having a pool nearby. Kerry, a local resident, says, “I‘m thrilled and I‘ve already enrolled my daughters for lessons. No more navigating the Geelong Road traffic to get to the pool.”
However, some residents are worried about the extra traffic and parking issues that the pool will bring. Carla, another local resident, explains, “I already do most of my Coles shopping online because of the crowded parking spots at Manor Lakes. It‘s going to get even worse with the pool.”
Despite the concerns of some, the pool will provide much–needed convenience to many and is likely to be a great addition to the community when it opens in 2023.
