Police attended a motor vehicle accident at the level crossing on Galvin Road Werribee late last night.
The driver of the white Hyundai realised he was on the ‘wrong track’ when he took out the fence at the level crossing on his way home from the pub.
A member of the public called triple zero when they saw the driver attempting to run from the scene.
The drunk driver was captured shortly after and was breath tested which revealed he had been ‘chugging’ down a few drinks and was four times over the legal limit.
It will be ‘all aboard’ at the Werribee Magistrates court at a later date where police say the driver will be saying goodbye to his licence.
One member of the public also said they hope they get a parking fine as well, as “you can’t park there mate!”.
