Woman Dies After Being Struck By Truck On Coburns Road
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal incident in Melton earlier this month.
It is alleged a truck struck a woman on Coburns Road at about 10.00am on Friday, 2 January.
Ambulance crews treated the 74-year-old Brookside woman at the scene before she was transported to hospital. She later died in hospital on Sunday, 4 January.
A 22-year-old man from Tarneit has been charged with unlicensed driving, failing to stop at a red light and dangerous driving causing death.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 8 May.
