Westgate Alliance Taskforce Makes Further Arrests as Investigation into Violent Incident Progresses

Two youths are facing charges after an alleged armed robbery and stabbing incident that took place in Tarneit last week.

The Westgate Alliance Taskforce detectives have taken action, charging a total of three individuals in connection with the incident.

According to the investigators’ report, two youths were confronted by a group of seven to eight males on Baden Powell Drive, Tarneit, on Thursday, July 27th, at approximately 6 pm.

During the encounter, an altercation unfolded, resulting in the youths being stabbed multiple times before the assailants fled the scene.

Thankfully, the victims’ injuries were not life-threatening, and they were transported to the hospital for treatment. The alleged offenders were last seen making their escape in a dark-colored vehicle.

On Monday, the Westgate Alliance Taskforce officers executed a search warrant in Weir Views, leading to the arrest of two 16-year-old boys. One of them hailed from Weir Views, while the other was from Bellbird Park in Queensland.

In addition to these recent arrests, a 20-year-old man was apprehended and charged with similar offenses last week.

As a consequence of the investigation, the two boys have been charged with several offenses, including armed robbery, assault with a weapon, recklessly causing serious injury, affray, robbery, and cannabis possession.

Both teenagers are now in custody and will appear before a children’s court.
