Police were called to an address in Bonsallo Walk, Tarneit, about 3.45 pm on Sunday (30th May) after reports a car had crashed into the garage of an unoccupied house.
Upon police arrival, the car had already left the scene.
The premises were checked and a male was located inside. The 16-year-old boy from Tarneit was arrested at the scene and is currently assisting the police with their inquiries.
The vehicle was located on Lansdowne Parade, Tarneit shortly after 4 am this morning.
The investigation is ongoing.
