A teenage boy has been injured and multiple others have suffered smoke inhalation as a fire tore through a house in Point Cook. The two-storey house on Willowherb Way went up in flames at 7 am on Tuesday.
As firefighters battled to bring the blaze under control, a family of five was evacuated from the house. Paramedics reported that a 15-year-old boy was taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital with burns. Additionally, a 60-year-old man suffered both burns and smoke inhalation.
Another three children were assessed at the scene and subsequently taken to Werribee Mercy Hospital. The extent of their injuries or smoke inhalation has not yet been confirmed.
