
Detectives from the Westgate Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team are seeking public assistance in connection with a sexual assault incident involving a teenager in Point Cook last year.
According to the information received by investigators, the 16-year-old victim was approached by a man near the intersection of Palmers and Dunnings roads on Friday, 9th December around 3 pm. The man forcibly grabbed her by the arm and proceeded to walk with her for approximately 10 minutes, during which he sexually assaulted her.
To aid in their investigation, the detectives have released several visuals of the suspect. A computer-generated image and a still photograph captured from CCTV footage are among the materials made available to the public. The man is believed to have an Indian or sub-continental appearance, approximately 25 years old, with a slim build, brown eyes, and unusual yellow-tinted whites of his eyes. He was also noted to have black hair and a black beard and reportedly identified himself to the victim as “Sam.” During the incident, he was seen wearing a black jacket and pants.
