Teens Charged After Evading Police.

Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit and Westgate Alliance Taskforce detectives have charged two teenage girls after they evaded police in a stolen car in Melbourne’s northwest yesterday.

It is alleged police attempted to intercept a white stolen Suzuki Swift at the intersection of Derrimut Road and Sayers Road in Tarneit just before 11am.

The female driver allegedly sped off and was followed by police on the ground with the assistance of the Air Wing through the Melton, Sunshine and Werribee areas.

The car was dumped in Village Avenue in Taylors Lakes where two boys and two females were arrested about 11.50am.

Yesterday’s police media release stated that the four teenagers involved were from Point Cook but today’s release has revealed the following:

The driver, a 16-year-old Werribee girl has been charged with reckless conduct endanger serious injury, drive manner dangerous, dangerous driving whilst being pursued by police, two counts of fail to stop vehicle on police request, unlicensed driving and possess drug of dependence.

The female passenger, a 15-year-old Truganina girl has been charged with reckless conduct endanger serious injury, drive manner dangerous, dangerous driving whilst being pursued by police, robbery and two counts of burglary.

They will appear at a children’s court at a later date.

A 12-year-old Point Cook boy received a caution for burglary and a 15-year-old Point Cook boy was released pending further enquiries
