Armed holdup Hoppers Crossing

Armed with a knife, young thieves target local teens at shopping centre; police swiftly apprehend suspects, seek public's help to locate accomplice

Police have arrested two juveniles following an armed hold-up in Hoppers Crossing on 2 May. Officers responded to the incident at Pacific Werribee on Heaths Road around 9:20 p.m.

It is reported that two girls and a boy confronted a 16-year-old girl from Hoppers Crossing and a 17-year-old girl from Footscray, demanding their belongings. During the ordeal, one of the girls brandished a knife before they took items and escaped.

Shortly thereafter, a 17-year-old girl from Kurunjang and a 16-year-old girl from Altona North were arrested on Heaths Road. The search continues for the male involved in the incident.
