Feedback Wanted On New Club
Wyndham residents are being invited to help shape the future of a new tennis and pickleball club planned for Holyoake Parade Reserve in Manor Lakes.
Wyndham City Council has opened community consultation to gauge interest in establishing the club and to gather feedback on how it should operate, what programs it should offer, and how it can best serve the local community.
Council is asking residents to provide feedback on a range of areas, including participation opportunities, inclusion priorities, governance arrangements, promotional activities, and the process for establishing an interim committee before a formal club is created.
The consultation will also be used to measure community demand, raise awareness of the proposed club, and encourage local ownership of its development.
Once consultation closes, council will review the feedback and publish a summary of what it heard. Community members who express an interest in becoming involved will then be invited to an initial meeting in September to discuss the next steps.
The proposed club would be based at Holyoake Parade Reserve, which officially opened in January 2026 following a $9.5 million redevelopment.
The reserve features six tennis courts, including two with pickleball line markings, alongside a multi-use court. Other sporting facilities include an oval with a cricket pitch overlay and cricket training nets.
The site also includes a pavilion with a social room, change rooms, storerooms and a kiosk, as well as a playground, barbecue and picnic areas, walking paths, outdoor exercise equipment and landscaped open space.
The survey is open until 11:59pm on 30 August 2026.
