Reckless overtaking forces quick-thinking driver to swerve, saving his family from a near-fatal crash
A family’s trip to Werribee South Beach nearly ended in tragedy yesterday, 4th December, at 5:17 PM, when a reckless driver overtaking on Duncans Road came straight at their vehicle.

Footage captured by the woman in the passenger seat shows her alerting her husband to the oncoming car. As he swerves to avoid the collision, the family’s car horn blares, followed by a few choice words of shock and frustration.
The quick-thinking husband narrowly avoided what could have been a devastating head-on crash, saving his wife and children from harm.
“Please remind people in Wyndham to drive properly and think about other people on the road,” the woman said after the incident. “They got family too, you know. I and my family could have been killed.”
This terrifying incident serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers of reckless overtaking and the importance of considering others’ safety on the road.
