The Best Electric Car to Cruise Wyndham in.

Kia EV6 on Beach

If you want a new car to cruise Wyndham, it’s time to start thinking about electric. Quiet, cheaper to run and some genuine market innovations make electric the most exciting space in new car design today. But which is the best electric car for Wyndham residents right now?

The fact is, as soon as you read ‘electric’, you probably thought of Tesla, for years it has been THE electric car brand, but is it really that good? The Model 3 is the best seller of the range, and brought some level of affordability, at least compared to the bigger models. Tesla has a reputation for the best technology, and with self-driving, superfast charging and options providing well over 550 kilometres range, you can see why.

However, as great as the Tesla Model 3 is as a piece of technology, it is fairly restrained in design these days, especially compared to some of the newer entrants to the Australian market. One of those is the Kia EV6, which has a futuristic look that really stands out. It looks like it belongs in some near future movie, with sharp angles and swooping low front end, no combustion engine there of course.

It’s not just good looking either, it is spacious inside with a completely flat floor, and it’s fast too, the top model promising acceleration from 0-100 Kph in just 3.5 seconds. A 528-kilometre range means it can get you where you need to be too.

Another head turner that competes with the Tesla Model 3 is the Polestar 2. Polestar is a new manufacturer in Australia, and only makes electric vehicles, this being their second model, as the name suggests. Starting life as the electric arm of Volvo, they are now a manufacturer in their own right and have a very smart-looking hatchback that offers more excitement than you get with the Tesla. It feels like it’s something special, futuristic, out of the ordinary like the Kia, in a way that the Tesla simply doesn’t.

The Polestar 2 offers a range of up to 540 kilometres, impressive space and probably the most luxurious interior of the 3 vehicles. If you were to go just on interiors, you would pick this one as the premium car on offer here. But does that make it the best?

With their own network of charging stations, regular software updates and more, the Tesla is the most rounded in terms of electric vehicle technology and is the one you choose with your head. But if you want something different, the other two give you more as an experience, if not as a form of transport.

If there is one car here to go cruising and have fun in, then the Kia EV6 is the one to go for.
