The Werribee Craft Festival is traditionally held on the weekend after Cup Day at the Encore Events Centre in Hoppers Crossing. Stall holders and visitors come from all over Melbourne and surrounds to attend.
This year the Werribee Craft Festival is in its 42nd year, and will be opening on Friday night, 4th of November, from 5 pm to 9 pm. Saturday, 9 am to 4 pm. To celebrate their return from a 2-year hiatus due to COVID they will be giving away 100 free goody bags with a lucky ticket selected on entry.
Held at the Encore Events Centre, 80 Derrimut Rd, Hoppers Crossing, admission and parking for the public is free.
There will be a special effort competition where Stall holders all make a donation of their craft which can be won in Hampers with the proceeds going to selected charities and groups that they choose to support .
In the past Werribee Craft Festival has donated to groups such as the Palliative Care Unit at Werribee Mercy Hospital to update their garden for patients and families Werribee Coastguards to help replace equipment, Cancer Support Groups, Wyndham Community and Education Centre to buy sewing machines for a sewing program for refugees, Manor Lakes Ambulance for a coffee machine and more.
There will be over 70 stalls showcasing and selling top-class, different and interesting handmade craft including candles. Christmas crafts, educational toys, wooden goods, cards, etc.
There will also be visits throughout the festival from Children’s Characters to keep the children busy as well as free children’s craft activities.
If you get hungry Devonshire Teas will be on offer as well as a variety of items for lunch or morning/afternoon tea and you don’t have to worry about running out of cash as there will be ATM facilities available.
