Police Seek Driver Who Broke the Commandment of Safe Driving
Police are investigating after a vehicle drove into the entrance of a church in Wyndham Vale overnight. The Presbyterian Church on Black Forest Road sustained minor damage to its main entrance between 5 p.m. on Saturday, 9 November, and 9 a.m. on Sunday, 10 November, when an unknown driver crashed into its glass doors before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Congregants arriving for Sunday service had to use alternative doors as police began their investigation. Witnesses or anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
It seems the church is “turning the other cheek” this Sunday, hoping the wayward driver finds the “straight and narrow” path in future travels.
