Last month, three men were arrested and charged by detectives from the Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit, with assistance from the Regional Crime Squad and Alliance Taskforce.
The arrests were made in relation to a fight that occurred in Laverton North. Allegedly, a brawl broke out between two large groups around 9:40 PM on Saturday, April 29, at Little Boundary Road.
Although the groups had dispersed by the time the police arrived, several items believed to have been used in the altercation were confiscated.
The individuals facing charges are a 28-year-old man from Tarneit, a 38-year-old man from Truganina, and a 26-year-old man from Williams Landing.
They have been charged with offenses related to affray and weapons possession. All three have been granted bail and are scheduled to appear at Werribee Magistrates’ Court on October 30.
Two men, aged 35 from Tarneit and 33 from Williams Landing, are currently hospitalized with serious injuries stemming from the incident.
The investigation is still ongoing, and the detectives have released images of a man and a vehicle that may be able to provide information to aid in their inquiries. The man is described as having an Indian appearance and was seen wearing a white GANT logo jumper while driving a white SUV.
